Top 50 cycling blogs

This list shows a collection of the best cycle blogs in the world. I hope it helps you discover something new. It took me absolutely ages to put together, so if you enjoyed it I would hugely appreciate any tweets/stumbles/diggs. Some notes on the list:

  • It was calculated by looking at over 100 cycling blogs
  • The rank is based on a number of elements such as Google Pagerank, Twitter Rank, Alexa Rank, number of comments and Technorati Authority
  • Certain blogs have been excluded where the primary focus of the site was not really on the blog as I felt this would be unfair
  • I have not included London Cyclist on the list for two reasons. 1. It is clearly an awesome blog 2. I did not want to be seen as biased
  • Where blogs have a twitter account I have linked to this in the rank number on the left
  • You may look through the list and think: โ€œWhy didnโ€™t you include X blogโ€ โ€“ I realise I may well have missed a great blog so apologies if I have but these are all the ones I could find in a reasonable time frame. Feel free to email me any suggestions for future lists
  • UPDATE: I have added a few more twitter links that were originally missed. Apologies!
  • UPDATE: Number 50 has been changed to Bike Noob because the Bike Geek appears to have been deleted
  • UPDATE: Epicurean cyclist now has a link to their new blog
  • UPDATE: I now have a list of blogs to be included in the next update. Keep sending me more!
  • UPDATE September 2017: A bunch of blogs have stopped posting, I’ve marked these.

As far as I can tell, the Commute by Bike site (ranked#7) isn’t a blog anymore. I can’t see where any new articles have been posted recently. Maybe I just don’t know how to use the sie properly.

  4. admin 22/07/2009 at 3:04 pm #

Stuart – you are right – the site has ceased to exist – next time I will update the list it will be updated. Thanks for reminding me!

Hey, you’re back! I couldn’t pull up this top-50-cycling-blogs site for about a week. I thought maybe you were updating it… No, that non-blog Commute By Bike is still in place 7.

    London cyclist,

My blog is newish. It’s very much about presenting short films, thought films on bikes, each with a certain polish, rare on youtube as you’ve noticed.

For example, this encounter with Mikael Colville -Andersen.

    Cheers, Mike

    BKW is the best !

  13. Ol 24/03/2010 at 4:14 pm #

    Hi Andreas,

Great list. I keenly follow most of em (probably too keenly if my boss has anything to say about it), but where’s ours?!

Tredzblog!. I know we’re a shop, but we’re cyclists first and foremost. No sales, no cheap bike links. Just a blog that regularly features highly in Google.

Anyways. No rant, just an observation. Love your blog (seriously I owe you, printed out your Bike Maintenance guide for my girlfriend who now fixes my bike) and frequently drop in. Keep up the good work

    Ol at Tredz.

My blog might be worth a look. My mate Andy and I have been cycling into the North Kent countryside most weekends over the past four years, but have been keeping a blog for just over a year, probably about 18 months. It’s just about where we go and what we chat about and stuff.

      Go check out

  17. how to win my ex girlfriend back 02/08/2010 at 9:45 pm #

Through this story I’ve been referring to some step-by-step gameplan everyone can adhere to to win again their ex girlfriend. Here’s exactly where you possibly can find it: watch this quick video below that explains the whole process. I bet this will turn out for being the smartest issue you do all day.

  18. tips on getting ex girlfriend back 02/08/2010 at 9:53 pm #

But what if you are not one particular of those women that likes to play the victim? You want your ex girlfriend back and you’re prepared to do a little work to generate it transpire. Which is a beneficial and wise option.

  19. tips on getting ex girlfriend back 02/08/2010 at 9:56 pm #

When you go in unprepared, or do what most individuals do, not only will a get-together along with your ex girlfriend not result in you two obtaining back again jointly, it is going to probably wind up making things even worse.

Oops, did the address not come through?

  24. Sergio Almeida 04/09/2010 at 6:28 pm #

Well, here’s one to add to the list which includes my long distance bike trips (so far made in USA and Canada, and the last year trip between Germany and Russia/Kazakhstan border)

Includes the stats of the day, photo (by click on any has the link to all the other photos where can be downloaded in original size), story and soundtrack, and on the American side includes the photos GPS tagged while on pedal, route saved on the GPS and updated to Google maps.

When I get more funds (all the trips ended due to lack of my personal funds) It will be continued somewhere in the world.

I would like to recommend the following bike blog:

  31. Stephen Doroghazi 16/02/2011 at 1:16 am #

I was actually very happy to find this tremendous resource, though somewhat surprised you do not reflect in the list of top 50. What makes this blog particularly valuable as a resource is that it is updated daily with a variety of entries geared to recubment bikes and trikes; but, there is also a wealth of information about velomobiles, more recently thought of as a practical HPV commuting vehicle, especially in areas that experience long periods of frigid weather.

It’s a good list, I’m glad somebody went to the effort. I don’t think my blog would deserve to go in the top 50 but if you fancy popping by and having a read some time…
