Post a picture of your commute

A picture of my commute

Pedalling into work your experience may vary. Perhaps you just see busy rush hour traffic in the centre of London or maybe you have gorgeous views of the countryside and interesting sights such as the Lots Road Power Station.

One thing is for sure, there must be some interesting sights on your commute!

London Cyclist reader Phil suggested we do a post about them. Select one picture from your commute and add a link to it in the comments. You can use various photo upload sites such as:

Don’t worry if it’s just a blurry camera phone picture. Sometimes camera phones capture the most interesting sights.

I’ll post up a selection of the best on the blog next week.

I’m sure you know that that’s Lots Road power station, not Battersea, and the photographer’s done a grand job with that view as it’s rarely that appealing!

I know it’s not Battersea, it was just an example of something you might see on your commute! Guess my post does make that a little confusing though, will alter now!

Sorry, I’m a pedant. It’s a good idea and I think it’ll provoke me into uploading some of my videos … more horror stories than adverts though!

The London Eye. Going over Westminster Bridge: http://www.flickr.com/photos/23305232@N08/5713999755/in/photostream. The sun was peaking through some darkening clouds = photo heaven. I have some stunning sights on my commute (Ealing – London Bridge).

I know that heading photo well 🙂

The best thing I love about commuting by bike is that you get to see things you might not otherwise see if you were on the tube

How many km is that, Phil? Looks exhausting but pleasantly traffic-free for most of the way.

Its 10.1 Km so not to bad, there is a shorter more direct route to work which is only 5km but not nearly so nice and it goes through the city. this one takes about 25 mins to do and is pretty chilled out.

Really nice route Phil. Plenty of off-road sections.

I pass this spot each day on my way to and from work, reputed to be the best spot in Brussels to get frites (although I have another place which I prefer) — La Maison Antoine at Place Jourdan:

Saw this great graffiti on the way to work and thought it would perfectly compliment my Orange Bigfish, so stopped for a snap! http://www.flickr.com/photos/bigfishbike/5637620429/in/photostream
