For a laugh, discounts and more, here’s a list of 7 London bike shop accounts I recommend you follow.

Cycle PS

At Cycle PS in Camberwell you’ll find a pool table and stone baked pizza. It’s certainly not your usual bike shop and neither is their Twitter. You’re more likely to find silly videos of a man riding a mini bike in the store than talk of promotions. Take a peek in to what bike mechanics do when they’ve got too much time on their hands and get your bike there asap to prevent them hurting themselves!

Kinoko Cycles

Formerly known as Tokyo Fixed, Kinoko Cycles is all about beautiful, fast custom bikes and smaller known brands. On their Twitter account you’ll find plenty of bike racing pictures and updates to keep the racer inside you excited. You’ll also hear about cool accessories that they’re bringing in to the store.

Brooks Store

We all know Brooks for their beautiful saddles, and their London store for their beautiful layout, bikes and accessories, now on their Twitter you’ll find more of that classy, leathery goodness. You’ll also find pictures of some of the regular customers.

Bike Works

It’s always tough to define exactly what Bike Works is. Is it a bike shop? Is it an open workshop? Is it an all ability club – where cyclists can try different bikes? Their diverse activities lend themselves well we’re you’re just as likely to hear about their free Doctor Bike services, as you are to see a picture of Boris riding one of their tandem bikes.

Look Mum No Hands

It’s hard to keep up with all the events at London’s favourite bike cafe, but their Twitter certainly helps. Follow for cycling news, sales and London events for cyclists both at Look Mum No Hands and at other locations (Mmmmm London Coffee Festival) . See if you can keep count of all the book launches that happen there!

Seabass Cycles

Seabass Cycles is probably my favourite name for a bike shop ever and their Twitter is one of my favourite accounts to follow. With sweet freebies outside their store, decent discounts and pics of their latest bike builds, go follow them on Twitter! Camberwell is well and truly spoiled for great independent bike shops.

Cloud 9 Cycles

Adam and the crew at Cloud 9 Cycles always seem to find something funny or interesting to tweet from their central London store. Follow them for a laugh and news on their latest custom builds.

I would also add Brompton Junction! Sure, for folks with a folding habit 😉 But it’s a beautiful store and in a great location.

Whatever happened to the virtual bike shop! We have a hidden gem in Knutsford Cheshire http://www.meccanicacycles.com selling their own British Made clothing brand and an eclectic mix of handmade bikes, magazines, art, and accessories. Even British shaving products. Check it out – they even deliver free!

Please if you could include my mobile mechanic service to your twitter list that would be much appreciated. Many thanks, Tim
