“London Saiclist” does have a certain charm though! The pencil logo has a really avant-garde feel to it…

The real ones are very nice though, especially the third with the Tower Bridge silhouetted against the background. Good luck in Brazil!

Ligia, I’m very lucky to be here with a friend because he has been doing all the translating and knows what we should and shouldn’t be doing! I think near Rio there may be good opportunities with some kind of organised mountain bike tour, this is what I’m hoping for! If we can find a waterfall it would be perfect, especially with the hot weather! Unfortunately with the large distances in Brazil and it being such a vast country I think nwe are going to only experience a small part. What I have seen so far is incredible!

I don’t know Rio or São Paulo. But one thing I have to say is that I hope you are with a Brazilian there, so that you know where you are going and so on. And if you are going to do montain bike, you are probably going to a place where the nearest city is at least about 20 kilometers away and there is nobody around. In Brazil, it is not safe to be all alone with an expensive bike. In the middle of the forest I guess it would not be thaaat dangerous (even though I would not be there all alone), but if you are going to do long journeys using the highways and so on, you HAVE to be in group.
And if you are going to do montain bike, you are probably going to the forest and so on. So have a bath in a waterfall… I just can’t describe how I feel in such a place… after going there it literally feels like you’ve washed your soul man…

Ligia, I’m in Sao Paolo at the moment and off to Rio on Monday. I’m planning on doing some mountain biking near Rio! Any tips?
Pleased to hear about you finding this site and enjoying the content. I hope it keeps everyone nicely entertained! Also good on you for trying out cycling in London and getting to love it. Cycling in the rain is fun but when you get a gorgeous day of weather you appreciate it so much more!

Hey!! You’re going to Brazil!! I’m from there XD Where about?? Found this website two days ago, quite liked it. When I first came to London, I just cursed the weather and the “impossibility” of riding bike in such a cold place. But now I quite like the real adventure of riding bike with gloves, having to endure the cold, sometimes rain, snow or wind, being alert at the trafic, taking decisions all the time, accelerating, braking… It’s quite vicious… Just love busy roads and central London, and going around london, specially in sunny days… Just love all this…
