Nah, it's all good, I've got the Ride to Work scheme, great bike for half price, cancelled gym membership (at £66)+ no need for a monthly Oyster (at £115) = getting fit and heathly for free and more money in the bank.

Unfortunately I don't save money at all. I cycle to work about twice a week for the exercise, so I still find it cheaper (and quicker) to buy a monthly season ticket on the train than to buy returns on the days I commute by train. If only you could buy discounted books of return train tickets (like they used to do in Paris on the metro), then you would get value every time you cycled. Likewise, people only cycling in the Summer often find they are still better off with an annual season ticket so also don't save money. Oh, add in having your bike nicked, say, once every two years and it's quite an expensive hobby. I love it though.
