While sitting on a chairlift I eyed a great looking road (under several metres of snow) and commented that I would love to cycle it. I didn't realize at the time but I was staring at the top and south side of Col de l'Iseran (highest paved pass in France). I had to wait 6 months for the road to open and I have been addicted to cycling the Alps ever since. Sorry for long comment, best! PS - Val Thorens is a huge cycling climb and Facebook?
